The true impact of the seafront development

A picture tells a thousand words – just colouring in the artists’ impressions of the proportions of the proposed seafront development gives us a much better idea of how it will impact our town.

We are calling for a public meeting and meaningful consultation on these plans, as a large number of residents are still totally unaware that they have significantly changed since the original plans were submitted in 2013. This scheme will have such a significant impact on the town that we believe the public have the right to be told what they are planning.

It also appears that a portion of the Stade and the Sunny Sands will be cast in shade from the high-rise buildings.

I feel alarmed and angry, but unfortunately unsurprised that Developers, once again are being allowed to put profit before local people and much needed community resources. This should not be allowed to happen and any proposal that is attempted to be sneaked through should be challenged ànd stopped. The health and wellbeing of the whole community is paramount.
